Vice President

Hannah Kimmer

Hannah has spent her entire life growing up on a farm around agriculture. In the eighth grade, she instantly knew she wanted to be a part of FFA. This year will be her fourth year in the organization. She is a second-year officer and this year she serves as the Batesville FFA’s Vice President. She has competed in Leadership Development Events including Creed Speaking, Conduct of a Chapter Meeting, and Parliamentary Procedure. She has also competed in Career Development Events such as Ag Communications and Livestock Judging. Her Supervised Agricultural Experience is Sheep Production and she has raised and shown lambs since the age of 5. Hannah has wanted to continue her family's traditions as being a Future Farmer of America. She loves meeting new people and talking to others about her experiences. Her goal as an officer this year is to not only get more people involved and join this organization but to have more members active in her chapter. Hannah hopes to someday continue studying agriculture past high school and one day practice Food and Agriculture Law. Hannah participates in sports and many other clubs but FFA is one that she truly takes to heart.

Secretary

Casyn Tate

Casyn’s love for agriculture and FFA began in 8th grade when she joined the World Ag class. She loves competing in Parliamentary Procedure and Agricultural Communications. Even though Casyn didn’t come from an agricultural background, this organization has given her the chance to learn about and participate in many things she never would have done, including opportunities like helping her friend show sheep, be able to speak in front of many people, and grow a strawberry garden. Serving as Chapter Secretary has helped her become more organized and responsible with not only FFA but in school as well. Casyn has competed in volleyball, basketball, and softball while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She participates in FCA, church youth group, and club volleyball. Casyn plans on attending Arkansas State University and majoring in nursing.

Treasurer
Jacob Birkhead
Jacob Birkhead has been in the Batesville FFA chapter for three years now and is the Batesville FFA Treasurer. Jacob was also involved with Batesville High School Student Council. Jacob competed in two Leadership Development Events which include Conduct of a Chapter Meeting and Prepared Public Speaking. He also competes in the Agriculture Communications, Forestry, and Floriculture Career Development Events. Jacob’s Supervised Agriculture Experience is wildlife/nuisance control,  which is the process of removing nuisance animals or predators off of a piece of property. Jacob’s favorite part of the organization is going on trips and spending time with friends. Jacob plans to attend the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and obtain Degrees in Criminal Justice and Biology.

Reporter
Lucy Harris
This is Lucy’s 4th year of being an active FFA member and is currently serving as the chapter Reporter. She has competed in several Career Development Events including Horse Evaluation, Farm Business Management, Electricity, Agricultural Communications, and Floriculture. She has also competed in the Conduct of a Chapter Meeting and Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Events. Even though Lucy doesn’t have an agriculture background, FFA has provided her with many exceptional experiences. For example, only a year ago she was terrified of chickens, but now she owns and cares for a flock of silkies. “My favorite part of FFA is definitely the people. I not only love making new friends, but I also love all the fun memories and laughs that I have with the members in my chapter,” said Lucy. She has participated in the following organizations: Cheer, Beta club, and Student Council, but FFA is definitely at the top of the list. Lucy was born and raised in Batesville and plans on being a Pharmacist in the future. She doesn’t know where she wants to go to college yet but is very excited to see where her future takes her!

Hunter Branscum
